The brief was a lobby feature that would read as calm from the street and reward a closer look up close — most water walls only manage one of those. We cast the face panels in water-etched laminate so the sheet breaks into a fine, even texture rather than the glassy, unbroken run you get off plain float glass, which scatters light instead of mirroring the ceiling grid above it.

The recirculation loop is fully closed: a 1,900-litre reservoir under the lobby floor, filtered and dosed on a weekly service cycle, with make-up water metered against evaporation rather than a fixed schedule. Flow noise was tuned on site over three days of trim adjustments to the header — too loud and it fights the concierge desk eight metres away; too quiet and the piece reads as static from across the room.
